Commission policies
Before
Before
- I offer a free consultation to discuss your project details, design ideas, and timeline.
- I reserve the right to decline any commission request that I am not comfortable accepting.
- When I reach capacity, new requests may be placed on a waitlist. Commission slots will reopen as space becomes available.
- Completion timelines vary depending on the size and complexity of current projects. These details will be discussed during the consultation and agreed upon before signing a contract.
- A 25% non-refundable deposit is required once the commission is confirmed, prior to work beginning.
- Please prepare any reference images for the consultation. If you’d like an illustration based on a specific photograph, ensure you have permission from the photographer to use it.
During

- There are several approval stages throughout the process, including composition sketches, progress check-ins, and a final review. These stages provide opportunities for feedback and adjustments as the work develops.
- Requests for major changes after an approval stage may incur an additional fee.
- If you choose to cancel the project before completion, a cancellation fee of up to 25% of the agreed-upon price may apply. The exact amount depends on the stage of the commission and is separate from the initial deposit.
- Any changes to the agreed-upon completion date will be discussed with the client. If the timeline must be extended for reasons beyond the client’s control and the project cannot continue, the cancellation fee will be waived.
After
After
- Upon completion of the commission, you will have an opportunity to provide final feedback before signing paperwork confirming the project’s completion.
- The finished artwork will be released once full payment has been received.
- Requests for changes made after project completion may be accommodated for an additional fee.
- Unless otherwise stated in writing, I retain the copyright to all artwork and any reproductions of it. If the work is presented or published, it must be credited in the agreed-upon manner.
- Delivery and framing fees are not included in the commission price and are the responsibility of the client.
